Queso Flameado (or queso fundido) translates into flamed/melted cheese. It’s the process of melting a bunch of shredded cheese with some meat (in this case, chorizo) It is spooned into warm flour tortillas and eaten like a taco. Consider it a “do-it-yourself” tableside quesadilla.

The word queso immediately conjures up an image of dipping chips in a big bowl of cheese, this isn’t the smooth, melty, creamy goodness you think of when you hear the word queso. Ours is the authentic Mexican Queso Fundido which you will scoop with a flour or corn tortilla, chips will break.

INGREDIENTS: Quesadilla Cheese (Pasteurized Whole Milk, Contains less than 2% of Cheese Cultures, Salt, Calcium Chloride, Enzymes), Chorizo (Pork, Guajillo Paste (Dried Guajillo Chilli, Purified Water, Cellulose Fiber, Lactic Acid, Potassium Sorbete), Water, White Vinegar (Distilled White Vinegar, Diluted with water to 5% acidity), Onions, Paprika, Salt, Garlic, Cane Sugar, Black Pepper, Cumin, Oregano, Cloves).

 

ALLERGENS: Milk

 

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: Cook thoroughly, turn on the conventional oven to 350F, Remove the lid from the plate, place in the oven. Let it cook for 7-10 minutes until the internal temperature of the chorizo is above 165F. Once the cheese is melted and the chorizo is fully cooked remove it from the oven. Mix everything together using a spoon. Let it cool and enjoy.
