HOW TO HEAT

Meats

Barbacoa Jalisco, Carnitas, Chicken Mole, Chicken with Green Tomatillo Salsa, Pastor

Our favorite is boiling - but you can cook our meats in a variety of ways. Click what you’d like to do for cooking instructions.

  1. Fill a large saucepot ¼ of the way with water. 

  2. Boild water on high heat. 

  3. Immerse the plastic-wrapped meat for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to avoid cold zones around food. 

  4. Remove from bag and place hot food in serving dish
  1. Partially defrost meat.
  2. Remove from plastic and place in a large skillet on medium-high heat.
  3. Cover and heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally to avoid burning on the bottom.
  1. Partially defrost meat.
  2. Remove from plastic and place in pressure cooker.
  3. Pressure cook on low for 3-5 minutes.
  1. Partially defrost meat.
  2. Remove from plastic and place in slow cooker.
  3. Reheat on low for 3-5 hours or on high for 1-3 hours.
  4. For Pastor, add ¼ to ½ cup water to avoid meat drying out.
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Partially defrost meat and remove from plastic.
  2. Line a baking tray with aluminum foil or lightly spray with oil.
  3. Place the meat in the dish, covered.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes.

TAMALES

Red Pork Tamales, Sweet Corn Tamales

  1. Preheat at 325°F.
  2. Remove tamales from the bag, wrap them in foil and place them on a sheet pan.
  3. Bake 15-20 minutes if thawed and 20-25 minutes if frozen

Steam for 15-20 minutes if frozen and 7-10 minutes if thawed.

  1. Partially defrost your tamales.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 35°F.
  3. Brush tamales with a bit of oil or water.
  4. Place them into the air fryer basket and close.
  5. Heat tamales for 5-8 minutes, turning once halfway through.

Heat for 2 minutes, 1 minute on each side. 

RELLENOS + QUESADILLAS

Bean and Cheese Chimichanga, Chiles Rellenos, Crispy Rellenos, Quesadillas

  1. Preheat at 325°F.
  2. Remove food from the bag, and place them on a sheet pan.
  3. Bake 15-20 minutes if thawed and 20-25 minutes if frozen.

Heat for 2 minutes, 1 minute on each side. 

  1. Partially defrost your tamales.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  3. Place your food into the air fryer basket and close. Cook quesadilla,
    crispy relleno and chimichanga for 10 minutes, turning once halfway
    through.
  4. Cook chile relleno for 15 minutes, turning once halfway through.

SIDES

Black Beans, Cheese Poblano Dip, Mexican Rice, Refried Pinto Beans

Heating instructions are from refrigerated, not frozen.

  1. Preheat to 325 F
  2. Heat for 20-25 minutes. 
  1. Preheat and cook at 365ºF for 20-25 minutes.

  2. Cover with paper towel
  3. Heat on high for 45 seconds and flip
  4. Heat for 30 seconds.
  5. Heat to an internal temperature of 165F.
